SEIB Insurance Brokers has been awarded the Marketing & Customer Engagement Award at the UK Broker Awards 2024. The accolade recognises SEIB’s exceptional response to horse owners’ needs during the ongoing cost-of-living crisis, demonstrating their commitment to listening to and acting on customer feedback.

In 2022, SEIB conducted the first nationwide survey on equine costs, revealing financial strain and welfare concerns among horse owners across the UK. In response, the company introduced SEIB Core Horse Insurance, an affordable, accidental external injury-only policy designed to meet the needs of horse owners on a budget. With premiums starting from under £10 per month and an easy-to-use online system, SEIB Core makes essential cover accessible, supporting owners in protecting their horses while managing rising costs.

Traditionally known for comprehensive horse insurance, SEIB is now seen as a versatile and accessible provider, offering flexible products tailored to the needs of all horse owners, regardless of their budget.

Through innovative marketing, SEIB engaged with a new audience by partnering with grassroots equestrian influencers – Riding with Rhi, Life on the Left Rein and EMD Eventing - developing a fresh visual identity, and increasing their presence both online and at key industry events such as Your Horse Live and the National Equine Show. The campaign saw impressive results, including a 106.5% increase in Facebook reach and a 34.7% increase in Instagram reach, alongside significant growth in brand awareness.

This award highlights SEIB’s ongoing commitment to supporting horse owners with accessible, customer-centric insurance solutions, helping them navigate financial challenges without compromising their horse’s welfare.
