The insurance cover for Valegro Triple Olympic dressage gold medalist, has recently been moved to SEIB by his owners Carl Hester, Rowena Luard and Anne Barrott. Following the, now retired, Valegro’s newly found title as SEIB sponsored, Horse & Hound ‘Horse of the Decade’ last month his owners approached SEIB to find out more about the cover they could offer for this national treasure. Pleased with what was on offer, Valegro is now on cover with SEIB Insurance Brokers.
Roly Luard said: “We were thrilled and honoured to have received the ‘Horse of the Decade Award for Valegro sponsored by SEIB. We are pleased to announce that we have moved our insurance cover for Valegro to SEIB, their team have been lovely to deal with and we are sure he is in safe hands.”

Having discussed requirements for Valegro, we were able to provide a comprehensive policy that his owners are very happy with – which gives Valegro full cover that can continue for the next 6 years if they so wish.”
As a teenager, Steph competed to a high level in pony BS classes with her beloved pony Victor, she added: “When the policy for Valegro came through at the end of last week, it was such a positive moment for our team to know that the owners of an all-time equine legend have come to us for their insurance.”
