Employees at SEIB Insurance Brokers are given the choice every six months to nominate a local charity to support. Chelmsford based, Families InFocus (Essex) is the most recent charity to benefit from this scheme and has this month received a cheque for £5,000 from SEIB.
Families InFocus has helped the family of Colin Leahey, SEIB’s Senior Database Administrator and Data Security Officer. Colin said: “As someone who has benefitted from the services provided by Families InFocus, I would like to say a huge thank you for your support so far. This charity is very close to our hearts and I’m sure the donation will be extremely helpful in enabling the charity to continue with their good work.”
SEIB’s Finance Director, Bipin Thaker said: “Every year I ask our staff to nominate a local charity that we can support and for the first half of this year Families InFocus (Essex) was the chosen charity. It is vital, particularly in the current situation, that local businesses help local charities. With the lack of fundraising events due to COVID-19, donations from local businesses would make all the difference to small charities in your neighbourhood.”
